MariaAssumpta

A new standard in residential care

Maria Assumpta residential care centre is situated in a park domain in Dilbeek, a stone’s throw from the Wolfsputten nature reserve. The care centre, operated by Group Vulpia, together with Laurijssens Architects, created a unique new building at this care park in the place of the now-demolished previous buildings from the 1960s.

The state-of-the-art new building heralds a new era for this care centre and its residents. The roughly sixty residents (a figure set to double) occupy luxurious rooms and the communal areas and cafeteria set the tone. The architects and the client had very clear ideas about the right design and the furniture. Warm materials and ergonomic comfort, but without compromising on aesthetics. It all contributes to a very homely, warm context.
