Gitschotelhof

With the new Gitschtelhof building in Borgerhout, Zorgbedrijf Antwerpen is showing the direction it is taking in the future. As a residential care centre, it is pioneering new approaches with, among other things, the so-called “house rooms”. Areas with kitchens where several residents can dine together, serving their own meals themselves. 

The new building is accompanied by a new entrance pavilion with a reception area, cafeteria and even a wellness. The client was happy to leave the well-trodden path, and new possibilities therefore opened up. It’s not really just a cafeteria in this case, with its name ‘Bar Scala’ it is profiling itself as a contemporary meeting place for young and old. The furniture reinforces the look & feel of a brasserie.
