CityLoft

Compact living is the future. This is also the case in Hasselt, where project developer Steps Real Estate has developed a unique concept: CityLoft, 39 affordable apartments in the heart of the city, designed according to the new needs of millennials. Millennials place less and less importance on owning things, let alone having their own home.

What they want: life and experience. When you buy a CityLoft, not only do you get a fully-furnished studio, you become part of a community of young like-minded people. Residents live according to the “sharing” principle: the private area is smaller, but you enjoy a range of additional facilities that more than compensate for the space limitations. The building offers a range of communal areas such as a fitness centre, co-working space, food and laundry bar and green roof terrace with firepit and barbecue.

Cityloft was designed by UAU collectiv, an architecture studio from Hasselt that excels in making spaces that elicit admiration and wonder.

All the accompanying furniture, like that in the studios, was selected and installed by us. The emphasis is on young, affordable brands with an urban feel, such as Hay, Moome, Pedrali and Emu. Each of these are labels with a style and story that twenty-somethings and thirty-somethings can relate to.
